History
of Camp
Bauercrest
Camp Bauercrest
was established in 1931. Four Jewish Community Centers located North
of Boston founded the camp. The land was purchased from Ralph S.
Bauer, the Mayor of Lynn, Massachusetts at that time. The name “Bauercrest”
came from his name combined with our hilly terrain. The campus was
known to be a place frequented by President Calvin Coolidge, a friend
of Mayor Bauer.
