Bauercrest was founded in 1931 by four Jewish Community Centers in the Boston area. Since then, we have maintained a Jewish religious component throughout the camp, including daily prayers before and after meals, Friday night and Saturday morning services, and a full-time camp Rabbi who oversees a Judean program for the campers. Our food service is kosher-style.

Services include participation from numerous campers. Our Israeli counseling program also brings a great deal of Jewish and Israeli culture to our campers. For those boys approaching their Bar Mitzvah, Bauercrest offers tutoring during the camping season.
